Seaside Mediterranean Splendor /
When I created Holton arts in 1997 it was an act of love for the ornamental arts. Collaboration with so many talented people from the Architects, designers, artists on my team. In this seemingly simple room designed and created with the talented Linda Ruderman Interiors, is months of work. From concept to this image required teams of artists and woodworkers months. In the end, the result is a room of timeless beauty and the warmth only hand craftsmanship can create.
Painting in the studio /
It is always inspiring when I have the opportunity to create a commissioned painting for a room. This painting was inspired by the beautiful lagoon built by the Vanderbilt family in Dorado Beach Puerto Rico. It is now the Ritz-Carlton Reserve. I wanted to capture the dynamic feeling of the water, rocks and sky. The room is also crowned by a custom ceiling created by Holton Arts. A large beamed ceiling with hand painted canvas inserts. The painting invited the beauty of the glorious views from this home's seaside location into the living room. #HoltonArts
Gold Leaf in Boston Hotel: Holton Arts /
This massive canvas was guilded in our studio and applied on site. This was done to conserve time and save the client costly time. The sconces and capitols were done on-site
Read MoreCommercial contract /
It's always amazing for an art design company to get A commercial contract. This is painting a barricade for a restaurant that is opening in Highland Park Village in Dallas Texas and we will also be looking forward to the opportunity to paint our finishes on the interior of the restaurant
Faux Bois: part one /
In the 17th and 18th century it was not always possible to get some of the exotic woods that were coveted by the time. Beautiful techniques, using varnishes and exotic pigments were developed. Holton Arts takes great pride in having mastery in doing these technics for our discerning clients. See more of our Faux Bois projects on our web sight under Faux Bois section.
Recreating the past /
It seems human nature to desire beauty, and to create inspiring environments. Painted surfaces like this ceiling humanize a space, far to often in our current era ceilings are subjugated to being near lighting recepticals, made of dull materials. It is the mission of Holton Arts to give clients a resource to be able to live and entertain in beautifully painted and designed rooms. It is my special intent to add the patina and softness that time can add to a room. I love the warm tones and the modeled blue plaster colors in this image, I would love to stroll under it by Candel light.
